The standards topic covers: protocols for use, governance, schemata, vocabularies, digital object identifiers, formats, and quality issues.

Deliverables

• U3 Standards: a list of useful, usable and used standards for Open Data in Ireland, incl. but not limited to: formats, protocols, schemata, processes, templates, vocabularies.
• Digital Object Identifiers: a list of unique digital object identifiers (URIs, etc.), incl. but not limited to: counties, places, governmental institutions, businesses.
• Data Quality Metrics: a list of characteristics to measure the quality of data and processes to enhance it.

Governance Process

Once the three deliverables above are in a good shape (end of 09/2011) we want to define a light-weight governance process how people can extend the listings.
